Olivia Treynor is a Barnard College student double majoring in English with a concentration in creative writing and anthropology. She was a 2020 YoungArts Finalist in Writing (Short Story) and the first place winner of the 2022 Barnard College Lenore Marshall Prize for Poetry.
Her writing has appeared in the Southeast Review, CutBank, phoebe journal, Yemassee, and elsewhere.
Olivia wrote and directed the 2019 short film “the Goldfish,” which recieved the Lizzie Founder’s Award at the Westflix Film Festival. Her films have shown in film festivals accross the country, screening from the ArcLight in Hollywood to the Anthology Film Archives in New York City. In 2018, she worked on a documentary for the San Francisco MoMA in collaboration with artist Minerva Cuevas.
Born in 2001 in California, Olivia currently lives in New York City. She loves lakes but is scared of the ocean.
